HUD Section 184 loans
The Section 184 Indian Home Loan Guarantee Program, run by HUD, is designed for American Indian and Alaska Native families and tribes. Through approved lenders, it offers a low down payment, flexible underwriting, and no monthly mortgage insurance. Instead there is a one-time upfront guarantee fee, which can usually be rolled into the loan.
